Wersja 7.7 wprowadza zarówno ulepszenia w funkcjonalności dodanej już do poprzedniej wersji narzędzia (Grids, Modern Sliderfield), jak też zawiera liczne ulepszenia jakościowe obejmujące pakiety Modern oraz Classic Toolkits.
Nowa wersja Ext JS jeszcze lepiej wspiera programistów korzystających z elementów Grid, Chart, TreePanel, Timefield, ComboBox, Store i wielu innych.
